Leadership

At New Life Five Points, we believe in “every member ministry.” Every member of the congregation is a servant-leader, responsible for serving the body as the Lord enables. In our particular form of church government we are led by elders who are elected by the congregation. Some elders are ordained pastors while others are refered to as ruling elders. Together the elders form what is known as a session.

The deacons are a separate elected body who act as assistants to the elders. The deacons also have an important role in coordinating practical mercy ministry within the congregation and in the larger community. We desire for our ministry to be both “word and deed.”

At NLFP we also have a number of ministry teams ministry teams who coordinate and staff the various categories of ministry in the church.
